A supportive experience that turns caring into community
I have always found it important to be a part of many diverse community groups over the years. This and standing behind my chair cutting hair has given me the opportunity to hear hundreds of stories that I feel put me in a unique position to understand what it will take to represent the great people of Utah.

West/East Divide:
I serve on the WE Connect Board, working on ways to improve the physical & safety challenges that divide the West and East sides of Salt Lake City.

West side Improvements:
As a Westside resident, I support responsible growth that addresses long-overdue improvements while ensuring new housing considers neighborhood impact, parking needs, and community preservation.

Equal rights:
All people are equal and should be treated so by the law. The West Side is a wonderful blend of diversity. I will fiercely represent and defend everyone.

Affordability:
I believe new growth on the West side must address rising living costs so families aren’t pushed from their homes. Keeping food, utilities, and housing affordable for long‑time residents matters deeply to me, as does ensuring responsible financial support programs and accessible, affordable health care.

Safety:
Feeling safe on the Westside isn’t as easy as in other parts of Salt Lake City, so it’s important to continue to invest in programs that strengthen school and neighborhood safety and keep our streets and parks clean, welcoming, and comfortable for everyone.

I love this part of Salt Lake, from its open wetlands on the south side of the Great Salt Lake to its vibrant, diverse West Side communities.
I moved to Utah from a small town in Idaho when I was 19. Graduated from school and started cutting hair professionally at 21. Bought my first house at 25 and opened a Salon by 30, cementing the fact that I was an out-and-proud resident of Utah. My love of Utah has grown with every passing year.
I have lived in the downtown area since 1987 and in House District 21 for the last 22 years. First in Northpointe for 9 years on 5 acres and 13 years in the Fairpark area.
My lifelong love of horses and animals has taught me responsibility, preparation, and adaptability, while giving me countless opportunities to explore Utah’s wilderness. Through trail riding and hiking, I’ve spent meaningful time in its mountains, parks, and small towns, and I feel deeply connected to Utah—from downtown SLC to its most rural communities.
I’ve always valued being part of diverse community groups, and my years teaching yoga and working as a hairstylist have allowed me to hear the stories of hundreds of Utahns—giving me a unique understanding of the people I hope to represent.
Help support and build a thriving community. Your support matters!

Anthony has been my neighbor for the last 13 years. I’ve watched him work tirelessly to improve his home, his business and the neighborhood and I’m sure he will bring that same dedication and commitment to serving house District 21 if given the opportunity. “
